Join us for a Civic Dinners conversation exploring how Georgia can change the conversation around mental health.
NAMI Georgia, Inc., the Georgia Municipal Association and the Association County Commissioners of Georgia have come together to help communities have honest and productive conversations about the factors that contribute to positive mental health and the meaningful solutions that can reduce the societal costs of untreated mental illness in communities across Georgia. Why are these conversations so important to persons with lived experience, family members, and city and county leadership? Because having a healthy brain is no different than having a healthy heart and it costs all of us if it is left untreated.
We need to have an honest and productive conversation about all the factors that contribute to the positive mental health of a community, finding meaningful solutions to reducing the societal costs of untreated mental illness and increasing the safety of every member of the community.
WHAT IS A CIVIC DINNER?
A Civic Dinner is a conversation over dinner, with a host, 6-10 guests, three big questions, with equal time to share and one voice at a time. The questions are provided to the host in advance and a follow-up email is automatically sent to all guests and hosts that help collect key insights from the dinner.
HOST A CIVIC DINNER
