Civic Dinners Social Media Manager
Civic Dinners is looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to join our team based in Atlanta. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for shaping, developing and implementing our social media strategy that expands our presence to cities around the world.
Imagine being able to spend every day focused on creating space at the table for the unheard voices — and helping to capture their stories, perspectives, concerns, and hopes for the future in ways that leaders and co-creators can implement. Let’s make that happen!
\\ WHO WE ARE
Our team at Civic Dinners is lean and strong. We’re an award-winning civic-engagement platform that brings people together around the dinner table to have conversations that matter. We’re set for major growth over the next year and need someone full-time committed to growing Civic Dinners and our new initiative, The Lovable City, to new heights, spanning cities all across the U.S. and the world.
\\ WHO YOU ARE
You’ve helped build brands before. Now you want to build a movement. You’ve found your calling and believe in the power of social media to raise awareness on the issues that matter. You are a total natural for creating fun, witty, and informative posts that start powerful conversations, build an audience, and spark real behavior change. You get high off of creating meaningful change at the local level, and one day you might even run for office. But first, you’re ready to go all in with a team that’s poised for growth and opportunity.
As a content junkie, you can’t help but take 100 photos and videos when trying to capture the right moment when all you need is one. You’re a video editing ninja and have your finger on the pulse of all the latest social tools. You’re the first to sign-up for Facebook Blueprint updates and webinars with instinctual understanding of ROI for social media ad investment. You don’t just create content. You design it. Test it. Then re-write it, and re-design it to meet your high expectations for engagement. You crave authenticity and you’re all about building relationships through social media. You bring joy to your work, think outside the box, and love talking with strangers — both online and offline — especially if it means recording a sound bite or an interview that would be game changing for social. You’re a minimalist, but also a lover of hand-lettered type, keen to sketch out ideas before designing them in InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, or photoshop.
You think like an entrepreneur. You’re uber reliable, consistent, and always on time. You move fast and thrive in the startup space. You love collaborating with brilliant peers and jamming together on campaign ideas and then running off to execute. You see the world changing before your eyes and you wonder what you can do to make a difference. You’re tired of the same voices getting all the love, and you’re ready to celebrate what’s working, not just what’s wrong with the world. You want to use your talents, your gifts, your time, and your passion for good. You’re eager to help build a more inclusive world.
